The Catcherman was originally presented in 1992 as a folding fillet knife designed specifically to meet the needs of demanding fishermen. As one of Spyderco's last models with an integrated pocket clip, it became a cult object among die-hard Spyderco fans. The limited edition Sprint Run revives this unique design in its form, but optimized to meet the increased demands. For the first time, the thin blade is ground completely flat and is made of corrosion-resistant LC200N steel. The partially serrated CombinationEdge blade is combined with a one-piece fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle in the signature bright green of Spyderco's lightweight LC200N models. The front features the original Volcano Grip texture pattern, while the right side features the integrated pocket clip that allows for tip-up carry. With the typical thumb hole and the robust back lock for opening and locking the blade, the Catcherman falls back on the tried and true.
