The ARTAX flashlight is a perfect light source for armed or rescue forces as well as outdoor activities.
The torch is powered by a rechargeable 18650 battery (accumulator) which is part of the package. You can use two non-rechargeable CR 123A batteries as a backup power source when you don't have a charger available.
The compact body of the ARTAX flashlight is made of extremely durable duralumin aluminum type 6061. The front glass is made of polycarbonate. The torch is IP68 certified, so you can take it into a dusty basement or heavy rain, even withstanding a 2m dive. The distinctive ribbed surface, specific to ESP torches, ensures a secure and firm grip even in the rain or with sweaty hands and prevents the torch from falling out of your hand even when hit hard.
We designed this light source as a "defensive flashlight", which will serve you in crises as an alternative self-defense device in the style of a jawara or kubotan. First, you will temporarily blind the aggressor with a bright light or strobe that can be turned on with a touch switch on the end cap. If the attack continues or escalates, you can then use a variety of different strikes - either with a solid fist with the flashlight clenched in your palm or with the end of the flashlight sticking out of your hand. The head of the torch is fitted with striking spikes that increase the intensity and effect of the blow.
On the end of the flashlight, you will find a tactile switch that turns the ARTAX flashlight on at 100% power or in strobe mode. A gentle squeeze allows the light to last only as long as you hold down the switch button (touch mode). Pressing the switch lightly twice (quickly) will trigger the strobe in touch mode. Once the switch is fully pressed, the torch will light permanently in the selected mode.
Sophisticated end cap design prevents unintentional pressing of the switch. The rubber switch button is comfortable to operate even when wearing service gloves.
A side switch on the head of the flashlight is used to select modes. Modes alternate in the following order:
- 100 %,
- 50 %,
- 15 %,
- 0,5 %.
If you turn the torch off for more than 2 seconds, it will light up again in 100% power mode.
A colored battery level indicator in the side switch shows the charge level of the inserted battery. Lights up for 5 sec.
green: 100-70 %,
orange: 70-30 %,
red: 30-10 %,
red flashing: critical battery level (10-1 %).
The flashlight has a built-in USB-C connector protected with a rubber cap that allows direct charging of the inserted 18650 battery. It takes approximately 4 hours to fully charge the flashlight.
We will provide you with a cable with a USB-A connector (the regular USB you know from your computer) so you can charge the ARTAX flashlight via a smartphone charger, or laptop or you can use a power bank. The cable is 50 cm long.
The side switch indicator informs you about the charging status:
red: the battery is charging,
green: the battery is fully charged,
orange: battery incorrectly inserted or defective.
Please note that you can only charge Li-Ion 18650 batteries with a protection circuit. The torch cannot be used while charging. You can use an external charger to recharge the 18650 battery.
We offer a nylon holder type LHNA-01 or a swivel holder type LHU-x4-27-24.26 to carry the flashlight conveniently during service. Thanks to the detachable metal clip, you can also carry it in your trouser pocket or on your belt. There are 2 eyelets on the cover of the flashlight used for attaching the hand strap.
